What the video is for is like soloing group events and champion/legendary mobs which almost no one does. Yes there’s a meta, and it’s got a pretty big disparity between classes/specs. GW2 has a lot of strengths, but balancing has never been one of them, it’s pretty bad. Especially compared to FF14.

Each class is basically 3 classes packed into one. The "paladin" type class here which is Guardian can also become a hunter type with Dragon Hunter, or a mage type with Firebrand, or even a high mobility monk type with Willbender. And thief is only slightly harder for beginners.

Every class either has a passive +25% move speed buff through a trait or signet skill or access to 100% uptime on Swiftness (+33% move speed). Scrapper is the only class with 100% uptime on Superspeed (+50% move speed) but the skills it uses to maintain that buff are AoE damage skills so they'll tend to put you in combat.
ZC321. • 2 yr. ago. Guardian is more flexible in roles. That being said it will require different sets of gear and different traits for each of them. If you want something very easy to play that is also welcome in groups though diviners renegade rev is very nice.
