Jeep's advice is inconsistent. I have a May 2013 model year 2014 Grand Cherokee Summit 4wd with the Hemi. The manual says 75W-90 for rear and 75W-140 for the front diff. The latest pdf ver 8 says 75W-85 now for both. Likewise the original manual says change plugs at 30k miles, pdf ver 8 says 100k miles.

Now there's no way i can prove that myself, could be he cut the good O-ring with a side cutter to cover his ass. I'd hate to think that was the case."

There is plug on the connector, I used a stubby screwdriver to carefully disengage the red safety lock (RED CIRCLE), push down on the black tab (GREEN CIRCLE) and pull off. Remove the old sensor and install the new one. Then reinstall plug and make sure to lock the red safety. And you're good to go!
