I think the issue for me was that the browser didn’t have the permissions to open up the client for a google sign in. Logged into riot in browser using my google account then added a username and password in settings. From there I could log into the client directly rather than through google.
I was playing on my smurf in LAN (Latin America North), and after an exceedingly toxic game, I was unable to log back in. From the get-go, the team was already flaming me for smurfing which is OK since I'm pretty used to the toxicity in LAN, and I don't understand that much Spanish either. To do this, open the League of Legends client. Click on the menu icon from the top right corner.
