First, the oil pressure sensor was replaced. But that did not help. They made a couple of tests and did not detect any errors. Then they opened the oil filter and found metal particles in it. Then they decided to replace the entire engine and turbine. Now I must wait 5-6 weeks to supply the engine and turbine.
Regular oil changes with manufacturers spec oil probably the way to go to prevent this! 2) If your engine oil pressure light doesn't go out immediately, and if the low oil pressure alarm occasionally comes on momentarily when starting the engine, then this is indicative of the oil pump becoming clogged up.

It probably doesn't matter, but if Ford allows the option, I'd choose 5w-30 for the 1.5L engine. Direct-injected, turbo engines like the 1.5 EcoBoost tend to dilute the engine oil with fuel, which in turn can permanently reduce the oil's viscosity. Having the added viscosity of a 5w-30 provides extra protection if fuel dilution occurs.
Author. Posted April 7, 2022. Update. oil & filter changed. on the 2020 Ecoboost 1.0 engine the oil filter is at the front of the engine like on the 1.5 Ecoboost engine. It is the shorter stubby one, Ford part number: 2 207 993. Thanks everyone for all your input with regards to this post.
My Thailand assembled, Craiova engined 1.0 Ecoboost owners manual recommends 5w-20 but says 5w-30 can be used. I'm not sure if your manual is slightly different from mine (it seems so), but in my manual it says that if one needs to add oil and don't have 5W-20 the 5W-30 can be used instead. But only 0,8 liters max.
